The innovative technology, called NanoseenX uses specially created nanomembranes which have the ability to trap impurities and salt in their pores and are arranged in cascades inside a cylindrical device in order to utilise the force of gravity to carry out the filtration, removing the need for the use of energy or pressure.
The Nanoseen scientists produce 30 types of NanoseenX nanomembranes adapted to the function / processes for which they will be used.
Nanomembranes are mixed matrix solutions created from a combination of many types of nanomaterials (also obtained by the Nanoseen team) – their high quality, purity, homogeneity, strength and appropriate properties adapted to the water purification and desalination processes are essential.
Depending on the salinity of the water and / or the level of its contamination, from 2 to 20 nanomembranes are used, which are arranged in cascades or as a “sandwich”.
