“Influence of Climate Change and Anthropogenic Activities on Natural Water Quality: Challenges for the Sustainability of Water Resources.”

Mr. Edson BAPTISTA, Deputy CEO at Huila’s Water and Sanitation PP and alumni of the International Executive Master “Water for All” – OpT, is engaged in this project

“Within the framework of the Chemists Conference, held as part of the major event promoted by the “Angolan Order of Chemists – Huíla Provincial Council, we had the privilege of making our modest contribution through a presentation on the topic:

Influence of Climate Change and Anthropogenic Activities on Natural Water Quality: Challenges for the Sustainability of Water Resources.”

The presentation provided an opportunity to reflect on the impacts of climate change and human activities on water availability and quality, highlighting the crucial role of chemistry and professionals in this field in monitoring, protecting, and ensuring the sustainable management of water resources.

As a complement to the scientific discussion, practical activities were carried out at the EPASHUILA E P-laboratory unit, demonstrating the relevance of water quality analysis and monitoring as essential tools for informed decision-making and the reliability of water supply systems.

We remain committed to support and placing scientific knowledge at the service of society, promoting a chemistry driven by sustainability, innovation, and development by research and knowledge sharing”
